2026 IHRA NZ NATIONALS,

The IHRA NZ NATIONALS makes it's way back to NAPA Auto Parts Dragway. 

This is a 2 DAY event with qualifying on Saturday 7 March 2026 and eliminations racing on Sunday 8 March 2026 and marks the final round of the IHRA NZ National Drag Racing Series spanning the summer and over the two islands. 

There is no race entry on Sunday - you must enter on Saturday

Adult Weekend Pass $40
Our all new Saturday Family Passes $60 (2 adults and 3 children 12 to 17 years because 11years and under are free)
Weekend pass $120

Friday 6 March 2026 - Entry and Set Up Only
Gates open 4pm to 9pm (gates will close and lock at 9pm on the dot).
Race Entry open 6pm to 8pm.

Saturday 7 March 2026 - Qualifying Day
Gates open 730am.
Race entry opens 730am - 9am
Gate entry costs $20, kids under 12 FREE.
Drivers Briefing at 930am on the Start line.
Racing starts 10am for qualifying.
Ladders for racing will be set and published by 8pm on Saturday 14 March.

Sunday 8 March 2026 - Eliminations Racing Day
NOTE: There is no race entry on this day, all racers must enter and pay to race on Friday 14 or Saturday 15 March.
Ladders for racing are published on Saturday 15 March at the conclusion of qualifying and once published, cannot be changed for any late entries or advised out. 
Gates open 730am.
Drivers Briefing at 9am on the Start line.
Eliminations Racing starts 930am.
Gate entry costs $30, kids under 12 FREE.
Our all new Family Passes $90 (2 adults and 3 children 12 to 17 years because 11years and under are free)

Race Entry costs: 
GROUP 1 = $205 ($180 with IHRA NZ membership)
GROUP 2 & SCO = $175 ($150 with IHRA NZ membership)
SUPER SEDAN & MODIFIED = $145 ($120 with IHRA NZ membership)
SUPER STREET, SCREAMIN' EAGLES & MODIFIED BIKE = $105 ($80 with IHRA NZ membership)
JUNIOR DRAGSTER & TEEN RACERS = $45 ($20 with IHRA NZ membership)

This meeting caters to all classes as listed below: 
Junior Dragster – Super Street – Screamin’ Eagles – Modified Bike – Super Sedan – Modified – Top Street (incl. Sport Compact) – Competition – Competition Bike – Supercharged Outlaw – Top Doorslammer – Top Alcohol.

Racers – please ensure you have your Civil Drivers Licence, current Log Book and current IHRA / NZDRA drag racing licence and IHRA NZ membership card (if applicable) with you when you come to race entry. 

GROUP 1 & GROUP 2 RACERS:Please ensure your vehicle has been weighed and that this weight is recorded in the relevant section of your log book before coming to Race Entry. 

Camping is available at track for racers and crew only.  Please camp in the allocated camping area. NO camping in the Pits. Visit our Accommodation page for full accommodation options including local motel/hotel options. 

Tow Vouchers and prize money will be paid as per the NAPA Auto Parts Dragway Pre-season newsletter.
