NEWS FROM THE DEEP END
Meremere, Waikato – NAPA Auto Parts Dragway and Meremere Dragway Inc. are excited to announce that the work required to level the braking area of the dragstrip, is planned for completion this coming Spring.
NAPA Auto Parts Dragway and Meremere Dragway Inc. are especially proud to be able to complete this upgrade, as it is in direct response to Racer feedback while also serving to improve safety at our facility.
Work will commence in late September, weather permitting. So, if the weather gods should see fit to bless us with some sunshine (tall order that it is), we’ll be all done and ready to roll by the time our first Competition Meeting rocks around, in November.
“The Board have a Project list of long and short-term goals for the facility. This deep end upgrade is one that has leap frogged to the top of the list, due in part to the volatile nature of our environment, our desire to continue to improve safety and as a response to racer feedback,” Gary Bogaart, Track Manager.
